In my novel Spiritus, Becca wakes up the one hundred and sixty year old ghost of her husband from a past life named Alastor and soon falls in love with him again. How can a relationship between a human and a ghost really work though? Becca seems to have it figured out, it's all about setting boundaries......
- No rattling chains or making those bumps in the night after eleven o'clock. (I need my beauty sleep to keep from looking like I'm the dead one)
- No possessing strangers and expecting me to play along (Unless you want to try for Channing Tatum, because I would so play along with that!)
- When you enter a room, you will make yourself known and not just appear for the fun of frightening me. (One of these days, you're going to make me pee my pants.)
- No sneaking a peak while I'm in the shower. (I'm not showing you mine, if I can't see yours.)
If your significant other was a ghost, what rules and boundaries would you set?
