So yesterday I finally felt all the strain I had put my body through in the weeks leading up to Christmas, my back ached and my knee swelled up nicely. FINE! I stretched out in my chair with my feet up and the heating pad on my back, expecting a day of boredom. I honestly hurt too bad to think about writing and couldn't really get comfortable enough to read my new Anne Rice novel.
What to do? Well, it seems the BBC America channel took pity on me and ran a Doctor Who marathon with my favorite Doctor! So there I am, still miserable and in pain, but laughing through the Runaway Bride and remembering why I'm afraid of statue angels. It wasn't long before Alyssa joined me, stretching out on the couch and shouting "Allons-y" at all the right moments and making scary angel faces during commercials. What started off as an awful day, turned around to one that I'm sure I'll look back on as "Remember the day after Christmas that one time when we watched Doctor Who all day?"
