It is so good to hear about an Indie author that is really doing well and now it gets even better because the author is giving back.  JA Konrath, my favorite indie advocate, is going to donate $500 to a charity called first book if his novel origin breaks the top 100 in the Kindle store.

Now of course I love the idea of helping a fellow Indie, but I'm also so excited to see that the success of this author will help others.

First Book is a charity that buys books for children who otherwise couldn't afford them.

Origin is currently on sale on Amazon for .99!

Elizabeth Taylor, the last of true Hollywood royalty has passed away and with her goes the last of the golden age of Hollywood.  Long before Brad, Jennifer, and Angelina there was Elizabeth, Eddie, and Debbie, and then there was Elizabeth, Eddie, and Richard.  She was the ultimate fuel for gossip magazines across the world and her life was more exciting than many of her famous roles.

With the death of Elizabeth Taylor, not only do we mourn the passing of a Hollywood era, but also the passing of a tireless AIDS activist.

I think I've decided on a cover for Two Out of Three.  I'm looking forward to getting the book done now so that I can make it available for sale.  I'd love some feedback on this final selection!

A few people have been asking, so here's the synopsis for the new novel.

Sarah Deardon loved two things:  Dancing and Vincent Allen.  She struggled for years to become the best at the studio while nursing her crush.

When a tragic accident destroys her dreams of dancing, Sarah turns her full attention to Mr. Allen and pursues him with the same relentless determination that she had used dancing.

Vincent keeps her at bay, trying to let her get through high school and college, even putting an ocean between them.  His absence opens the door for the sexy rebel Robert Stewart.

With Robert in the picture, Sarah’s life takes a dramatic turn leading her across the country and back again.  She finds herself torn between a life of stability and a passion that refuses to be denied.

Okay, so I'm needed some help picking a cover for my new romance novel.  I've narrowed it down to two, but I can't seem to get past those two.

So, this novel is the story of Sarah.  A rich girl that dreams of one day dancing on stage.  After a tragic accident, that dream is torn from her and she adjusts her goals to the more common goals of marriage and family.  She turns her attention to the handsome Vince Allen, but yet again has her dreams crushed.  In an act of desperation, she leaves town with Rob Stewart, a rebel from the wrong side of the tracks.  Sarah must learn to survive in a new place with a stranger she barely likes, but with who she shares a passion that can't be ignored.

Now those of you that follow my blog on a regular basis know that I'm formatting some of my backlist for Kindle.  So this isn't exactly a "new"  novel, but it's one that's been hiding in a drawer for the last 15+ years.

Well, it finally happened.  Home Decorating for the Real World has dropped off the radar of the kindle bestseller list.  The bad part is that my new paranormal romance is still weeks, maybe even months, from being completed.  So what to do?

Well, like any other writer, I have tons of work hiding out in drawers.  It's time to dust some of them off and format them for Kindle.  Now yes, this will take a few days away from my current project, but I can also offer a sneak peak at my new work as an excerpt.  Decisions, decisions.

So, this weekend, instead of taking a little break, I'll be formatting some of my earlier work for Kindle.  So be on the look out for an early romance and possibly some women's fiction.  I'll be running special promotions and free downloads, so be sure to check back!
